Since 1984 Mike has designed well over a hundred productions at Lambs Players in addition to many shows at such companies as Moonlight Stage Productions, The Welk Resort Theatre, San Diego Rep and the Old Globe/USD MFA program. Recent favorites include lights for No Way to Treat a Lady at North Coast Rep, sets for The Winslow Boy here at Lamb’s, for which he received his second Theatre Critic’s Circle Award, and Bad Dates at the San Diego Rep, for which he received his fourth Patté Award. Mike also designs residential interiors through his business Weekend Makeover.
Jim Chovick Performer
Jim has appeared in 16 productions with LPT. He has performed in Rehearsal for Murder; The Winslow Boy; 1776; A Man For All Seasons; Ring Round the Moon; My Fair Lady; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; You Can't Take It With You; A Woman of No Importance; The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Festival of Christmas '99 and '00; and An American Christmas. Jim has worked locally with the Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, Cygnet Theatre (Resident Artist), North Coast Rep (Associate Artist), San Diego Rep, Sledgehammer Theater, New Village Arts, Eveoke Dance Theatre, 6th@Penn, The Ark, CCT, Mystery Café, Vantage Theatre, and The Fritz.
Cecelia Church Properties
Cecelia has worn many hats at LPT since 2002 as Assistant to the Costume Designer and Prop Master. Productions include 1776, Hamlet, South Pacific, and Art. Cecelia is now our resident Prop Master; her designs include A Divine Comedy, Dial M for Murder, An American Christmas, Festival of Christmas, Metamorphoses, Cold Comfort Farm, The Winslow Boy, and Pump Boys and Dinettes. Cecelia earned a B.A. in American Arts and Culture and Sociology from the University of Michigan.
Patrick J. Duffy Sound Design, Performer
Patrick has been seen in Rehearsal for Murder, Cold Comfort Farm, Smoke on the Mountain, and South Pacific, and across San Diego at Moonlight, Starlight, 6th@Penn, Poway Arts, and the Welk. Some of his past favorties include Action in West Side Story, El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Anatoly in Chess, and the title role in Macbeth. Patrick is thankful for the blessings in his life, including his marriage to Season Duffy. They will be celebrating their second anniversary on May 31st.
Season Duffy Performer
was recently seen playing her favorite role so far, Little Red Ridinghood in Into the Woods. Other LPT productions include Cold Comfort Farm, Smoke on the Mountain ('99 and '04), Godspell, Tarantara! Tarantara! and several An American Christmas and Festival of Christmas productions. Locally, Season has performed at the Old Globe, Moonlight, Starlight, Theatre in Old Town, La Jolla Stage Co, Sycuan Casino, and the San Diego Zoo. She is a native of San Diego and graduate of California State University, Fullerton, and she is thrilled to be a staff member with LPT along with her husband Patrick.
David Cochran Heath Performer
joined our Resident Company in 1981. Since then he has been a steady presence performing in over 100 productions at LPT, including Arms and the Man, Hamlet, Joyful Noise, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Foreigner, The Nerd, Amadeus, The Trip to Bountiful, Tartuffe, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Detective Story, The Tavern, Charley's Aunt, Dracula, A Man For All Seasons, and To Kill a Mockingbird (with his daughter Carrie). David also serves as the company's Director of Facilities.
G. Scott Lacy Musical Director, Performer
is one of California's most sought-after as a musical director, vocal coach, teaching artist and performer. Mr. Lacy is proud to be a member of the artistic ensemble of the award-winning Lamb’s Players Theatre under the artistic direction of Robert Smyth, where he has musical-directed for the past four seasons. Mr. Lacy musical-directed the acclaimed production of Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along for the Musical Theatre Guild of Los Angeles in 2006 and has worked extensively for the Tony Award-Winning La Jolla Playhouse, where he has served as Music Director/Vocal Coach for over a dozen mainstage shows working with such great directors as Tony Award Winner Des McAnuff, Tony Nominee Michael Greif (Grey Gardens, Rent), Neel Keller, and Regina Taylor (Crowns, television’s "I’ll Fly Away"). Mr. Lacy is also the musical director for cabaret artists Sandy Campbell, Angelo D'Agostino and Steven Fales (Confessions of a Mormon Boy and Mormon American Princess). He has served as musical director/vocal coach for San Diego Opera, Diversionary Theatre, North Coast Repertory Theatre, San Diego Repertory Theatre, The Green Room Theatre Company, La Jolla Stage Company, Appel….Presents, the Emmy-winning Malashock Dance Company, University of California San Diego Theatre Department, San Diego State University's Opera Theatre Program and SDSU's Department of Theatre.
Mr. Lacy is a successful vocal coach whose clients include Tony-, Emmy-, Grammy- and Golden Globe Award-winning performers. His students have attended such prestigious universities as NYU, Harvard, North Carolina School of the Arts, UCSD, UCLA, and Sarah Lawrence. In addition to his performing work, he has appeared on over a dozen recordings as a musical director and vocalist/pianist.
Jon Lorenz Performer, Musical Director
is an LPT Associate Artist, appearing in such shows as The Winslow Boy, The Boys Next Door, 1776, Chaps, Hamlet, Detective Story, Private Lives, Smoke on the Mountain, and many a Festival of Christmas. Other San Diego performances include I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at the Theatre in Old Town, Baby for La Jolla Stage Co., Babes in Arms at SDSU, and Grease with CCT. Jon has composed music and lyrics for numerous musicals produced locally and nationally by Christian Youth Theatre. His latest musical, Looking Glass Girl, for which he wrote book, music, and lyrics, was selected by Stephen Schwartz to be a part of the 2005 ASCAP/Disney Musical Theater Workshop.

Her directing credits include Thunder at Dawn, Private Lives, The Boys Next Door, Amadeus, Beau Jest, The Foreigner, and You Can't Take It With You.
Nate Parde Lighting Designer
Patrons have seen Nate's lighting designs here in shows such as Rehearsal for Murder, Into the Woods, The Winslow Boy, Cold Comfort Farm, South Pacific, The Boys Next Door, The Boy Who Fell Into a Book, and Smoke on the Mountain. He has also performed in An American Christmas, and most recently, Metamorphoses. Nate is married to the most beautiful girl on earth, Sandy, to whom he is grateful for continually putting up with him.
Nathan Peirson Lighting Designer, Photographer
a graduate of Biola University, is the theatre's Design Director. He has designed lights for many productions, including Metamorphoses, Dr. Faustus, Quilters, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Secret Garden, Till We Have Faces, and Dracula. He is also a busy actor, photographer, and musician. As a performer, Nate has been seen in such productions as Tintypes, The Wind in the Willows, Alice in Concert, Festival of Christmas, and An American Christmas.

Colleen Kollar Smith Performer, Choreographer
is a member of the LPT ensemble and has been seen in Rehearsal for Murder, Into the Woods, The Winslow Boy, Metamorphoses, Smoke on the Mountain, Festival of Christmas '03, Detective Story, 1776, as well as having choreographed Pump Boys and Dinettes. She is a proud alumnus of UC Irvine and has worked with such companies as Steppenwolf Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Moonlight Stage Productions, Starlight Theatre, and Palm Canyon Theatre.
is an active actor, director, and composer. Directing credits include Art; Steel Magnolias; Sleuth, Alice in Concert; Oklahoma Rigs; Ring Round the Moon; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; 1776; and The Winslow Boy. Deborah has performed in over 100 productions here, including My Fair Lady, The Taming of the Shrew, Metamorphoses, Joyful Noise, (here and Off-Broadway), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Edith Stein, Talley's Folly, 1776, Private Lives, The Boys Next Door, and Into the Woods. She created the musical score for such productions as Metamorphoses, Cold Comfort Farm, Edith Stein, Flight, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Great Divorce, Till We Have Faces, Dracula, and Hamlet.
Robert Smyth Producing Artistic Director, Performer
celebrates his 30th year with Lamb's Players in 2006. He has directed over 100 productions for LPT, including Detective Story, Edith Stein, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Woman of No Importance, The Secret Garden, Joyful Noise (here and Off-Broadway), The Great Divorce, Hamlet, Metamorphoses, and Into the Woods. He is the creator and director of the theatre's annual holiday celebration, An American Christmas, at the Hotel Del. The founding member of our Resident Ensemble, his performance credits include Damien, The Boys Next Door, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sleuth, Cyrano de Bergerac, Uncle Vanya, My Fair Lady, 1776, Private Lives, and Art.
Chris Turner Art Director
one of the founding members of LPT, toured with the first Street Theatre Company in 1972. He is currently the theatre's Art and Communications Director and serves on the Board of Trustees. Besides his history of puppeteering, his mainstage credits include Boomers, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, Festival of Christmas, and most recently, Boomers. Chris and his wife and four children have spent many Decembers as cast members in LPT's annual An American Christmas at the Hotel del Coronado.
