Our beautiful Resident Theatre is located in the historic Spreckels Building in the charming beach-side village of Coronado. It is a comfortable, intimate theatre seating 350 in a European amphitheater style with terrific sightlines. Within easy walking distance are the historic Hotel del Coronado, one of the world's best beaches, a variety of shops, and dozens of great restaurants ranging from casual to classy. Because the village of Coronado is a popular dining and recreation area, please plan extra time to find the free street parking. Or, for a fee, there is enclosed parking under the Coronado Plaza, two blocks South of the theatre. (Entrance on Dana Place)

From 5 North or South

Take the Coronado Bay Bridge exit (State Road 75) over to Coronado and turn left at the light onto Orange Avenue. The Theatre is a mile down on the right hand side, in the large gray building at 1142 Orange, three blocks before you reach the Hotel Del. 




Coronado is a very popular dining and recreation destination! Please plan extra time if you wish to find free Street Parking.  There is parking along the business and residential streets surrounding the theatre, including Orange Ave, Loma Ave, Flora, Isabella, Churchill, C or B Streets. Remember that you do not need to pay for metered parking after 6pm and all day Sundays.


Enclosed Parking

For a fee, there is an enclosed parking garage under the Coronado Plaza. Entrance is on Dana Place, just off Orange Ave, two blocks south of the theatre, just before you reach the Hotel Del. Parking fee normally runs $24 - $35. However, after parking you may purchase a voucher at the LAMB'S Box Office for only $10, to be used as payment when you exit.

Horton Grand Theatre

This little gem of a theatre is located in downtown San Diego's vibrant Gaslamp Quarter. A great Off-Broadway style theatre holding only 250, with not a bad seat in the house. The Horton Grand is within easy walking distance to dozens of terrific restaurants, from casual Mexican, pizza and burger spots, to classy Italian, Indian, Persian, Seafood and some of the city's best Steakhouses. Because the Gaslamp is a very popular dining and entertainment area, plan extra time for parking.

Determined hunters can often find street parking. Meters operate until 8pm. After 6pm Yellow stripe zones are also open.

For easiest parking we suggest the following garage, lot and valet options:


Discounted Valet Parking -  $15

Horton Grand Hotel Valet - 311 Island Ave.  There is a valet sign in front of the Horton Grand Hotel on Island Ave (just around the corner from the theatre, so try here first.)  With a ticket stub from that day's performance, you get a discounted price of only $15 for valet parking. Subject to Availability


Hilton Gaslamp Valet - 401 K Street - two blocks South of the theatre on 4th. Regularly as high as $40, you pay only $15 with a validation from the Horton Grand Theatre Box Office.  Pull up to the valet stand in front of the Hilton and they will take care of you. Please remember to validate at the box office to ensure your special $15 rate. Subject to Availability


Garages & Lots 

P1  Directly across from the theatre on 4th Ave is a large Parking Garage which charges from $10 to $30 depending on the day of the week and any downtown events.


P2  2 Blocks West of the theatre on 2nd Ave, between Island and J St, is a large lot which runs $8 to $20 depending on the day and downtown events


P3  Park It On Market  3 and a half blocks North & East on Market between 6th & 7th Ave, is a large enclosed structure which has the least expensive parking in the Gaslamp ($6 to $15).


Horton Plaza Parking Garage

4 Blocks North at 4th Ave and F St.

You can self-validate inside the Mall for 3 free hours. After 3 hours it get expensive very quickly. Make sure you validate your ticket before coming to the theatre. (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF)


San Diego Trolley

Take the trolley and save the bother and cost of parking downtown. There are two close Trolley stops - The Gaslamp stop on at 5th Ave. and The Convention Center stop on 1st Ave & Harbor - each a three block walk from the theatre. There are a number of free parking lots on the trolley lines north, east and south of downtown. The trolley is fun, safe and runs late, too.
