LAMB’S PLAYERS TRANSITIONS TO A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERSHIP

TELLING GOOD STORIES WELL FOR MORE THAN 55 YEARS!

A Note From Robert Smyth

2026 is an exciting and challenging year for Lamb’s.

For 45 years Robert Smyth has served as Producing Artistic Director of Lamb’s Players Theatre with a veteran leadership team of Associate Artistic Director Kerry Meads, Associate Artistic Director Deborah Gilmour Smyth, Art Director Chris Turner, and Production Team Director Nathan Peirson.

After months of discussion, the current leadership of Lamb’s decided that 2026 would be the appropriate time for transition to a new generation of leaders.

Robert suggested to the Board of Trustees that they consider Colleen Kollar Smith as Lamb’s new Artistic Director.

June 7th and 8th Lamb’s had a terrific 55th Year Celebration - with alumni, current staff, Associate Artists, Board Members, Donors, Subscribers, friends, & family.

It was a time of gratitude and a time to introduce Colleen and her chosen team Mike and Jenn Bradford who will take the reins of leadership in January 2027.

To make this transition as smooth as possible – the company decided to have the new leadership work alongside the current leadership for the rest of 2026.

A cheer went up from Board Members, Consultants, and Donors as this plan would allow the organization’s transition to go as smoothly as possible.

The challenge - this requires a significant increase in our budget for the year.

Your gift to Lamb’s Next Act Transition Campaign will help make this plan a reality.

As a non-profit professional arts organization we have always depended on the support of individuals and families who believe in our work.
